Interested in Starting a Club?
We are currently not accepting new Club applications for the remainder of 2020. Submit your interest via the form below and we’ll share more information as soon as it becomes available!
Who can start a Club?
Clubs are facilitated by people who are 18 years or older and have 1-2 hours per week to lead a Club.
How are Facilitators supported?
We provide free online introductory training, curriculum and launch support. Our online curriculum platform supports students and facilitators. We also provide recruitment toolkits and more.
Computing is where the jobs are but women and girls are being left behind.
Women make up 50% of the Canadian workforce but less than 25% of STEM jobs.
We know that parents, educators, and girls are looking for support and connection during these challenging times. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to school closures and significant disruption to daily life, Girls Who Code is making CS educational activities available for download free of charge, to anyone who wants to access them.

You can't be what you can't see.
We created free lesson plans featuring women in tech for teachers to use wherever they fit into the school day—from math to history to computer science. Using these lesson plans, students can explore the hidden history of women in tech, and uncover how to think like a computer scientist.
