Our free virtual summer programs teach the computer science skills that students need to make an impact in their community while preparing for a career in tech. Participants will get exposure to tech jobs, meet women in tech careers, and join a supportive sisterhood.
WHAT ARE GWC SUMMER PROGRAMS?
Choose from a 2-week immersion program or a 6-week self-paced experience that will allow you to meet other students and learn in the style that works best for you! All high school students who identify as girls or non-binary can apply, and no prior computer science experience is required.

    Learn to code through hands-on real-world projects in art, storytelling, robotics, video games, web sites, apps and more!

    Join our supportive and diverse sisterhood! Make meaningful friendships as you become part of our lifelong alumni network.
  • Build a Professional Network
    Spend your summer with the world’s hottest tech companies! Learn about tech careers by connecting with female engineers and entrepreneurs and participating in skill-building workshops.
  • WHAT IS THE SUMMER IMMERSION PROGRAM?
    In the 2-week Summer Immersion Program (SIP), high school students attend live, virtual classes sponsored by industry-leading companies. SIP participants learn web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript while getting an inside look into the tech industry.
    • Current 9th-11th graders
    • 2-week virtual program
    • $500 needs-based grant provided (for eligible students in the United States)
    WHAT IS THE SELF-PACED PROGRAM?
    In the Self-Paced Program, students can explore introductory coding with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or more advanced applications of Python with a focus on cybersecurity. During the Self-Paced Program, students work at their own pace while having the opportunity to build community through weekly live advisory sessions and activities. This program is open to all high school students, graduating seniors, and even summer programs alumni!
