The Latest Research
Applying For Internships As Women In Tech
Girls Who Code has 185,000 college-aged alumni. In 2019, we administered a survey of these alumni to better understand their experiences applying for jobs in tech—an industry with a well-documented, highly-publicized history of bias, sexism, and discrimination. Overall, around half of the 1,000+ women surveyed either had a negative experience applying for a job in tech, or know a woman who has.
