Facilitate a Club

Lead Club girls through the Girls Who Code curriculum!  Our self-guided curriculum is designed so that anyone with teaching experience can facilitate a Club. No computer science experience is needed!

What We’re Looking For

You are:

  • 18+
  • Available 3-4 hours per week, including travel & prep time
  • Have some experience teaching (ex: Teacher, TA, or volunteer)

Our Facilitators come from a range of backgrounds, including faculty members, undergraduate and graduate students, and young professionals. You don’t need computer science experience to facilitate a Club!

Join our mailing list and we’ll email you when applications open up for the 2017-2018 academic year!

What You’ll Facilitate

You’ll facilitate a project-based curriculum that teaches girls to use computer science to impact their community and help provide a supportive sisterhood of peers and role models within the Club to sustain their interest in computer science. The broad set of skills Clubs teach include:

  • Teamwork
  • Confidence
  • Time Management
  • Communication
  • Functions
  • Variables
  • Conditionals
  • Loops

Where You’ll Facilitate

Some of our Club Sponsors can supply space and computers but need a Facilitator like you to walk the Club through the curriculum each week. Join our mailing list and we’ll email you when applications open up for the 2017-2018 academic year!
