Collaboration Aims to Close the Gender Gap in Technology
STAMFORD, CT – February 23, 2022 – HARMAN International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. focused on connected technologies for automotive, consumer and enterprise markets, today launched a new strategic partnership with Girls Who Code that aims to help close the gender gap in engineering and other technology fields.
The partnership addresses a critical gap in the makeup of technology industry leadership, as men make up approximately 73% of the STEM workforce, while other groups are vastly underrepresented within fields that require science, technology, engineering, and mathematics skills.
